I have been a fan of the band for many years and like to go to as many gigs as possible. However, I have a problem with transport and it’s not always easy to use public transport, for various reasons. It occurred to me that there could be other people in a similar situation and conversely people driving to gigs who may be able and willing to offer car space to others….

So I have set up an email account:solsticefriends@hotmail.co.uk
The plan at this stage is to find out if anyone is interested in this idea, bearing in mind it would not only help people out but also reduce costs and be good for the planet!

If you are interested in giving it a go please send me an email identifying either CAR or LIFT as the subject. You would need to supply the general area you are in, eg Milton Keynes, and how many spaces you can offer or need, as appropriate. I will then have a go at matching up some people! It would be your responsibility to work out what contributions you make to costs.

This is an idea in progress so any suggestions about how this scheme could be organised more efficiently are more than welcome!

I would also like to point out that although they have welcomed the concept, it is not in any way connected to the band. I am offering to compile information and put people in touch with one another, I accept no responsibility for the outcome.
