Thanks to all of you who turned out to our Borderline show on the Summer Solstice. We all agree it was the best gig we've played in a long time. The venue are keen to have us back later in the year so watch this space!

Kindred Spirits, our new live album is now available here and we're planning to work with Barry Kitson again on our new studio album planned for 2012.

14/5/11
We've been confirmed for the mainstage at Weyfest on Sat 2nd Sept. Other news is that Steven Wilson of Porcupinr Tree, who turns out to have been a fan since 1982, has contributed to the sleevenotes for our new 'live package' DVD/CD Kindred Spirits and Barry Kitson, veteran Marvel artist, is working on the sleeve art.

Well it's been a while but finally.....we've confirmed London's legendary Borderline for the Summer Solstice, 21st June, to launch our new DVD/CD.

The DVD is 5 camera film of the Pitz show from last year with extras from our set at Loreley prog fest in Germany and is our first bona fide DVD. The CD is a live compilation covering material that doesn't appear on the DVD and largely taken from Silent Dance, New Life and Circles.

Tickets for the show are available now from Ticketweb or HMV

Come and celebrate the Summer Solstice with us!
Hope to see you there!!

23/9/10
You can now download 3 entire live shows from our download page
The first is our 2009 show at the Pitz, Milton Keynes originally only available as a bonus DVD with Spirit, the second is our 2007 gig in the smae venue and includes a not-to-be-repeated version of Dont tell me fuck! The third is a rare bootleg of a show at the Venue in London from 1983. You can download all the shows along with tracks from each album for FREE or make a donation if you are able. If you make a donation of £20 or more you are effectively pre-ordering and paying for our next release which we plan to be a DVD next year.
Either way we'd appreciate it if you'd share the music with someone you think might enjoy and, if they do, encourage them to join our mailing list.

Well, that's us for 2010 as for a gigs go. There haven't been many but we've had a great time. Loreley, The Peel and Stantonbury Theatre were all great gigs. The band is playing better than ever and we're finally starting to move beyond playing the notes. Can't wait to play some more shows so for now the focus is on trying to book some for 2011. We've been talking to a couple of prominent bands about supports and I've been chasing festivals and promoters. Besides that we now have video and audio from 2 shows to mix and edit for a DVD release next year. If you'd like to be kept up to date with future gigs and releases please join our mailing list here.

Thanks for your support.
Andy

So here's the good news - http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2010/jul/22/prog-rock-genesis-rush-mostly-autumn
And here's the bad - we've had to pull out of 2 of our Sept gigs - first Weyfest and now Riff's Bar with Credo on 17Sept. I'm really sorry if you were planning to come to these. There's still a few that we are playing here!

28/4/10
Yeesss! We've been booked for this year's Loreley Festival in Germany on the 4th Sept. This is a great gig for us and we'll be playing with our old friends Marillion. More info here. September is turning into a bit of a tour, with the addition of Riffs Bar in Swindon we are now playing 5 shows over the first couple of weeks. Life's good!

Spirit is finally available on iTunes so you can get the song info when you rip the album to your computer.
The album is £7.99 or 79p a track but you can only buy the title track as part of the complete album. It means you can download the whole album minus Spirit for £4.74, blimey!

17/4/2010
Thanks to Jerry Ewing for an 8/10 review of Spirit in this months' Classic Rock Mag. Very nice!
There's no doubt that the recent media coverage is helping to get the music out there and for that we are grateful.

2/3/2010
Like I was saying...the gigs are starting to come in. The latest is a really nice little free festival (remember those!!) on the Grand Union canal at Great Linford Manor in Milton Keynes. It's called the Waterside Festival and we're headlining the Friday night, 18th June at around 8pm. It suitable for all, including kids so come along and let's hope for a balmy summer's evening.

30/3/2010
The good news is that we're starting to get more gigs with a new booking for Stantonbury Campus Theatre on Sept 14th (yes that's a tuesday and you can sit in a comfy chair - nice!).
Classic Rock presents Prog did a nice feature on us (thanks Jerry) as well as reviewing Spirit and including a track on the cover mount CD.
The album's also reviewed in the new issue of Classic Rock and R2 mag are featuring us in thier May/June fetival edition.
Sorry if you're hoping to download Spirit from iTunes or simply get track names and artwork. Cherry Red assure us that it'll be there next week - fingers crossed!

18/3/2010
The launch was a great sucess and we want to thank all of you who came along to support us. It was the perfect way to kick off the album.
We filmed the show with 6 hi def cameras for a DVD release, hopefully, next year. For the first time we have a really excellent film of the band.

iTunes - If you've been trying to download tracks from Spirit you will have noticed that the album's still not up there. Our publishers, Cherry Red, are on the case so hopefully - any day now!!! Sorry about the delay.

Gigs - 2 news gigs that have just come in - Weyfest in Farnham on Sunday 5th and The Peel in Kingston-upon-Thames on Sept 11th

22/2/2010
More Gigs! Praise the... We've been booked for Progeny 3 on Sunday 9th May - hooray!! So we've got May 7th at The 100 Club on the Friday and it's starting to feel like a tour.
Please try and get along to the new album launch on March 6th at the Pitz Club MK. We so want it to be a good night and that'll only happen if you come along. 'Spirit' will be out on itunes as well as F2 and, of course, at gigs and direct from us.

Solstice get some press! Look out for a nice feature in the March issue of Prog Rock mag courtesy of Jerry Ewing and a review in Classic Rock Mag in April. R2 (formerly Rock and Reel) are also doing a feature in their May issue thanks to Oz Hardwick. Thank you, thank you all!

We've finally started comiting drum tracks for the new album (working title - Freedom) and boy they sound good. Pete's laying down some great tracks for the rest of the band to play to.

We have also commited to a launch date which is 24th July at The Pitz Club in Milton keynes. We're putting a tour together to promote the album so the day after the launch we're up to the Duchess in York. Watch this space for more dates as they come in - see gigs page for links.

29/6/08
The last couple of shows have been amazing. It's been great to play the music, but on top of that we've made a lot of new friends and reconnected with some old ones too. It's a quiet period for us now until the Symforce festival in Holland at the end of August so the next couple of months will be spent getting on with the new album and putting the finishing touches to the live DVD we'll release as a bonus disc. As allways, we're keen for any contacts that could lead to gigs but please, get in touch whatever the subject.

11/6/08
since our MK Pitz gig has been rescheduled the organisers of Milton Keynes festival Togfest have approached us to play this year. We'll be playing a 45min set on the Friday night at 7.30pm. There's camping and the music continues through to Saturday night. A snip at £8 for Friday and £18 for both days. Hope to see you there.

3/6/08
we've just been told that thanks to some incredible incompetence on the part of the venue (not the promoter) our show at The Pitz planned for the summer solstice 21st June will have to be rescheduled and is now booked for 19th September 2008. Tickets are valid for the new date or can be refunded from source. Sorry if this has messed up your plans, I'm gutted. On a more positive note Sprogfest was great - thanks Bezo and Steve.

24/4/08
We've been confirmed as support for Here&Now at the Riga Bar on 13th June - should be fun!!

30/3/08
Tickets are now available for our Summer Solstice (21/6/08) show at the Pitz in Milton Keynes from wegottickets.com We've got 2 great bands playing with us, please try and get along..see you there!!

Thanks to those of you who have passed on contacts for potential good gigs for Solstice-please keep them coming!!

2/1/08
Happy new year to you! I've heard from Nick Barrett of Pendragon today so watch this space for a gig together later in the year. I've put a clip from our 'queen' gig on the video page and will add more soon.

5/12/07

So we played the stadiumMK and her maj showed up. It was a pretty magical event with thousands of kids having a ball and us musos having a rare old time. Unreal!! We'll have some footage up on this site soon thanks to our cameraman Martin Higgs.

Material for the new album is coming along nicely and I hope to have it ready for our gig in MK on the next summer Solstice.

We have just been booked for the Prog fest in Frome on 25/50/8 - more details soon. If you have any leads for decent gigs please email me on andy@solsticewebsite.com

12/10/07
Here's a piece of news I can hardly believe but, apparently, it's true.
On Nov29th we're are playing for the Queen, yes HRH! at the opening ceremony for the new Milton Keynes stadium; mind boggling. I guess there's a few tunes we'll need to cut from the set!

1/10/07
Go to 'video' page to check out a couple of clips from our last gig in M.K.We've just booked a show in the same venue for the summer solstice next year. Thats Sat 21/6/08 at The Pitz Club, Milton Keynes. Our friend and top photographer Anthony Robins took some great stills from the show, some are in this site with more on our myspace.

25/9/07
we just had a great time at our first 3 gigs. We recorded the last one at The Pitz Club so look out for video clips on the websites soon. It was brilliant to see old friends and new and we can't wait to get out and do more. The next one will be 26 Jan at The Peel, Kingston with, hopefully plenty more to follow. Our focus now will be on writing/recording new material.

24/8/07
please note that our 1st Sept gig at the Peel, Kingston has been re scheduled for the 26th Jan 08

22/8/07

DEF. EDITIONS of Silent Dance, New LIfe, Circles and The Cropredt Set AVAILABLE FROM 1ST SEPT www.progrock.co.uk

17/8/07
The band are now rehearsing for the Sept shows with Pete Hemsley on drums. Pete played on New Life and has worked with some great musicians incuding Page and Plant. I've got to say the band sounnds amasing and is the first line up really capable of playing the material. The vibe in the band is incredibly positive and close. I can't wait to get out there and play!

15/8/07
The Definitive Edition Of The Cropredy Set will include the audio Cd and a DVD of the gig plus an interview with Andy Glass covering the back ground to the show.

F2 will be releasing 'definitive' versions of Silent Dance, New Life, Circles
and The Cropredy Set which will include a bonus disc and expanded booklets.

We are delighted to announce that we have signed to Festival music a fantastic indie who really know and love their music. Their other acts include Magenta, ChampanA and, personal favorite, Ezra.F2 really care about their products which are beautifully packaged and presented, so we're looking forward to these re-issues and to a new studio CD for 2008.

All our studio recordings to date are now available on digital download here
